2009 DECEMBER DAN SHIM SA

Region 2 had their end of year Dan Shim Sa grading (124th Dan Classing) for 2009, that ran from the 7th of December to the 14th of December. It included 2 Ee Dan candidates and 7 Cho Dan candidates as well as the gups. All participants endured though days of mental and physical toughness that tested them on their knowledge, skill and understandings of Soo Bahk Do. The grading consisted of 4 days, each day covering an area of Soo Bahk Do: preparation, endurance, knowledge and technique, and forms.

Sa Bom Nim Michael Austin and Kyo Sa Nim Stephen McGrath attended from Region 1 which provided high level Examiners for the event. The highlight of the event was Cho Dan Mark Millevoy and Cho Dan Samuel Costa grading for their Ee Dan as well as 7 Cho Dan candidates: Jessica Rana, Nilesh Patel, Kristine Labayog, Monica Connor, Tyson Hall, Ben Massam and Beatriz Gonzalez.
