When it comes to being remote, living in Australia is one thing, but living in Darwin and the surrounding areas is taking remoteness to the limits. Because of where we live, it's easy to think we would be neglected by the international Soo Bahk Do community, but that certainly isnt that case.

The strong ties we make wherever and whenever we go overseas help to promote Region 1 and the entire Australian Soo Bahk Do Association as a fantastic place for martial artists from around to the world to visit, and visit they do.

Not only do we have guests come and visit us, but we also embark on travel of our own. Austin Sa Bom Nim has travelled to Korea (for the 50th and 55th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan) as well as to the United States and Malaysia for training seminars. Broman Sa Bom Nim is a regular guest at the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa, wherever it is held around the world, as well as representing Austin Sa Bom Nim in Korea during the recent 60th Anniversary celebrations.

Many other Region 1 students have travelled extensively throughout Australia to train in Do Jangs in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide. We also have the chance to travel on a regular basis to the annual South East Asian Leadership Seminar.
