The Region 1 Camp will be held at Mary River Park on August 1st to 4th. it will involve a full days training on Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd. For all members interested in attending, staying at the park is compulsory for one night. Camp sites start at $10.50 per night. and cabins are also available for additional costs. Lunch and dinner are available at the park or you can bring your own. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information please get a leaflet from your Dojang. |

The 6th Australian Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan National Championships will be held on Saturday the 20th of September at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
More information including entry forms, rules and program of events will be made available within the next week. |

The 2008 South East Asian Leadership Seminar (SEALS) will be held in Miri, Malaysia from December 13th to 17th. SEALS is held most years to standardise members in the South East Asian Region, and is presided over by Kwan Jang Nim Hwang. SEALS has been held in Australia in Darwin in 2002, and Canberra in 2007. Miri has been the host city a number of times over of the years, and in 2001 a group of members from Region 1 attended and had a very memorable trip. It is highly recommended for all members to attend if they are able to. Stay tuned for more information. |

The Mid-year Region 1 Dan Shim Sa will be held at Sanderson High School on Saturday June 7th at 9am. Dan candidates from the Bees Creek and Nightcliff dojangs will be taking part. Thor Ulstrup Jo Kyo Nim will be taking a special class from 8am to 9am covering some of the training he did recently in the Philippines. All members are invited to the training session and/or to watch the Dan Shim Sa. Photos are now available in the Gallery. |

The R1 committee has penciled in the following dates for events this year. The camp and tournament dates have been set to give members ample time to organise themselves for those events. Dan Shim Sa - June 7th. R1 Camp - August 1st to 4th. R1 Tournament - October 18th. Dan Shim Sa - November 29th.
