Region 1 will be hosting the Australian SBDMDK Federation National Camp at Annaburroo Billabong, Arnhem Highway, NT from Friday 31st July to Monday 3rd August. This is a special event that gives members from around Australia to come together in one location and train. It will be overseen by the Australian Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). On Saturday 25th April at 6:30pm a Formal Dinner will be held at the Cafe Kashmir Restaurant in Nightcliff for the presentation of Dan Certificates. All members, families and friends are invited to attend. Dinner will be a Buffet, with the menu consisting of entrees, 3 Vegetarian Curries, 3 non-Vegetarian curries, roast and vegetables and dessert. $34 per adult, half price for under 12. Payments must be made by Wednesday 22nd April to either Pat McCormick, Jan Austin or Tony Hertog at Nightcliff, Bill or Thor Ulstrup at Anula or Pauline Mattschoss at Bees Creek. |

In December last year, several Dan members from Region 1 attended the 2008 South East Asian Leadership Seminar in Limbang, Malaysia. It was a fantastic event, overseen by Kwan Jang Nim Hwang, and attended by members from the US, UK and South East Asia. Kylie McMartin Jo Kyo Nim has written some thoughts about her first SEALS event. |
